108 Brasserie in Marylebone

I do love catching up with friends in lovely places. I seem to spend a lot of my time having quick chats whilst passing in the streets, or on the way to school. So, as I've heard a lot about 108 Brasserie in London, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to invite my friend London Bird Lucy to help me sample some of their amazing looking food and to have a good ole gossip!
108 Brasserie is set right in the middle of Marylebone, just off the high street. Very easy to find. They've recently had a refurbishment which was completed late last year, so I was eager to see the improvements.

It is a beautiful area of London, it actually feels like you've left the hustle and bustle of the city life behind, and entered a nice little village.
Marylebone is certainly somewhere where I would love to wander around when I have more time.

108 has two areas, a restaurant called Josper's Grill and then the amazing bar. The bar area is surprisingly large with many tables. The area is mainly white with very long windows all around which makes it beautiful and light. Then the area is warmed up with the mix of red chairs and walnut tables. I loved it. There is such a lovely atmosphere within the bar, very relaxed.
I was greeted by extremely friendly staff members with beautiful smiles all wearing a gorgeous red dresses....very sophisticated, and sure does make a change to the standard black uniforms!
108 offers food ALL DAY! Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner along with a weekly changing Small Plates menu. So whatever your plans, whether it be shopping all day with friends, meeting up with business partners, or having a business lunch, 108 is perfect and a must visit.
Once Lucy had joined me, we ordered a cocktail each and 3 small plates. The small plates are great, as it means you can order a very small bite for yourself or share happily (or not so happily) with your friends. I personally love sharing food, as it makes it so much more sociable. Also, there is No food envy, which, seems to happen to me a lot. I like to try everything.....
After looking at the small plates menu, I did actually want everything.....
However, Lucy controlled my obsession and we stuck with just three between us.

Choosing a Cocktail was too easy.....I had the Kiwi Fizz, which has Tanqueray 10 Gin, Champagne, Kiwi, Lychee Liqueur, Elderflower and Lemon.
Lucy didn't really fancy anything on the menu, as she was in an Amaretto mood. The very kind waiter said that they could make up an Amaretto Sour especially for her. I love flexibility within the menu!
Look good don't they ? They also tasted really good .... so much so that we had to order another as dessert !
For our food we ordered the special 108 Burger slider, the Dry-aged rib eye steak sandwich, and we were recommended to try the Arancini, which are spinach and parmesan rice balls.
Presentation was really good on all dishes, and there was certainly enough (although we definitely could have had another plate of the Arancini, and maybe some Crispy salt and pepper squid - out of pure greed!)
The burger sliders were very nice, could have had larger burgers in them, as they were too small, but delicious.
The Arancini balls were absolutely divine, and I'm sure myself and Lucy could have eaten these plate after plate. They were easy to eat and full of flavour with gooey parmesan in the middle.....(I wish I had a plate to nibble on right now)
The steak sandwich looks nice, and the flavours were great. Nice and strong, but the steak could have been better quality. I know the fat is where the flavour is, but I personally would have preferred less of it.

Overall, we had a lovely time, and I would highly recommend going to 108 Brasserie. I cant wait to go back, as the menu sounds so amazing, I want to try it all!!!

Have a look at their website and make sure you pop in at anytime !!
