My December Foodie100 Ranking

I thought I would quickly check my Foodie100 ranking out of curiosity and I am very pleasantly surprised.
In the month of December so far I am now 303. Although I am gutted that I didn't notice my November ranking. Oh My.....I cant believe I got passed the 300 mark and I didn't even realise....However, here's the proof

If you blog about Food Items and Recipes, make sure you sign up and be included.

They calculate your ranking score by calculating your Mozrank, Google links, Instagram, Klout and how many clicks onto your blog with the Foodies100 badge.
I don't do anything differently or special to try and increase my score, I just write what I want and have fun, but its just nice to know that I must be doing something right.......

Lets Get Healthier !!! New Years Resolution - Lets Do This !!

Just three weeks to go until January and when we all start to make resolutions and pray we stick to them. I made one in January of this year and this time I have stuck to it. I wanted to loose weight and get toned. I think I've done a good job this year, I look better than I have in years, I've finally got back into jeans that I've kept for years. I've also eaten a lot healthier this year and really watched what I eat. Obviously I have treated myself, life would be boring if I didn't, but everything is OK in moderation right ?? A lot of people really struggle to stay healthy or to loose weight, so it really is an ongoing thing. You can't or shouldn't try the quick solutions, as these generally do not work in the long term. So in January, or even now, start thinking about what you want as your resolution, and lets all really try hard to stick to it.

I came across an article that I wanted to share with you to see what you think too.

* * *

Why health checks should be Number One on your New Year fitness resolutions list

The resolution to improve health and fitness is a common one, especially if you have really enjoyed Christmas in terms of eating and drinking to excess, and have gained some weight. Those of us who are already regular gym goers notice that we can’t get onto fitness equipment without queuing in January, because of all the enthusiastic New Year joiners who are going to stick to their resolution this time. However, by the end of the month, they have mostly fallen by the wayside, and the gym crowd is mostly back to the usual regulars.

The best thing you can do as a new starter is to copy those regulars and pick up their habits; it’s easier to succeed if you set yourself small goals that are easy to achieve, such as ‘I will go to the gym three times this week’ and ‘I will only drink at the weekend this week’. Relying on will-power without making a plan isn’t enough, especially if you have an end goal in mind that will take months to achieve, such as losing a set amount of weight, or achieving a specific level of fitness.

An end goal needs to have a set of sub-goals to be achievable; for example, if your end goal is ‘I will feel confident in a bikini this summer’, your sub-goals should probably be:

·         I will exercise for 30 minutes every day, either by walking or going to the gym
·         I will cut out 100 unnecessary calories from my diet every day (easy swaps are a skinny latte for a full-fat option, or opting for a sugar-free syrup if those are your weakness!)

Both of those things are easily achievable without you even noticing, and that is the key to making resolutions you can keep. Putting a picture of a supermodel or bodybuilder on the fridge is just going to make you feel ashamed even when you’re reaching inside for a healthy snack or nutritious meal, so think hard about what your goals are, and what you want to achieve.

Many of us also set ourselves up to fail by making a long list of resolutions and failing to stick to any of them, simply because the weight of self-expectation is completely overwhelming. Focus your energies on sticking to your main goal, and leave the rest of the self-improvement for later!

If you are very out of shape, or very overweight, it’s essential that you seek medical advice and assurance before you begin any kind of exercise routine. That’s why it’s important to make your plans now, so that you can hit the ground running in January. Going for a full MOT can give you great peace of mind about your heath, so why not visit a private hospital in Chelsea to speak to a specialist about any concerns before you begin?

Finally, don’t just make resolutions in January; there’s no time like the present for improving your health and fitness!

* * *

What do you think? I really liked it and I think its also very achievable. We are all encouraged to walk 10k steps a day, which I think is very easy. However, if you really do sit all day at work, and then sit in the car on the way home, and then sit again all night, then you will really need to start making an effort in moving more. (This was me years ago) Humans were not designed to sit around and do nothing. I was miserable in the evenings and then because of that I ate foods and not the healthy kind either. I was miserable because I hadn't exercised enough, and I was eating the wrong foods, and my body was in a slump.

Lets do this together !!!!

I'm going to start a food diary as I really would love to see if I can improve on it. I'm sure I can,but its also nice, not to actually forget what I've eaten throughout the day......who else does this?

Enertor - Usain Bolt Endorsed Insoles

Who wants to run like Usain Bolt? How amazing would it be to be able to reach that 5km, 10km, 20km milestone with ease?
I've been attempting to run this year but I've really struggled to actually run continuously, I'm much better at walking ....So I do what I can when I can. I do find that when I run in some trainers, I can feel every step or bounce up my leg, and this is not good. I was asked if I would like to try out Enertor Performance Full Insoles. Now this wasn't because they thought they would turn me into the fastest woman on the Earth, but they wanted to encourage me and help me further.
So many of us stand on our feet all day and quite a few people get foot pains. After a long day on your feet, the only thing people are thinking of is getting the shoes off and your feet up.

The Original Tour in London - Best Way To See London by Bus and Boat

Yesterday we had a family day out in London as I really wanted to see the Christmas Lights. So I thought the best way to see the lights and have a great experience was to go on a bus tour. Its the perfect way to see London, and as we were taking my niece with us, I also wanted to surprise them with a River Cruise, which, as a family we have never done.
We have been on quite a few bus tours and every single time, we've all loved it. However, this was the first time, we have done the tour in the winter, so that was an experience, but we were wrapped up warm, and it was well worth it.

Marshmallow Delights - Midnight Feast Ideas

I love Marshmallows !! Small ones, Medium ones and Big Fat ones !!
I've always loved marshmallows (especially 'flumps' when I was younger) and I've been very experimental with them lately, but in an easy way. So I thought I would share with you my sickly delicious treats.
I love my marshmallows cold, but I feel that I can eat and eat and eat them, but when I melt them, I generally only have one..... for obvious reasons, unless I literally force myself to continue to eat it because it tastes so amazingly good..

Christmas Energy Bars with PandaVita Baobab Powder - Superfood

Some mornings it can be such a struggle to get out of bed, especially as the days are getting shorter so it's dark earlier or you have to wake up and it's still dark. Then of course, it's getting to the end of year and somehow it is super busy. It's pretty much go go go from now until new year. Getting Christmas sorted, shopping, childrens plays and special assemblies, parent consultations, having the big pre-Christmas massive clear out of toys or clothes to make room for the new lot. The kids have events to go to which finish late, like family get togethers and birthdays, and then because they have a late night, I end up having an even later night as I like my 'me time' and catching up on TV that is not suitable for kids, and it's all just so tiring.
Christmas Day itself is a very long day and by the evening, everyone's eaten too much and is just plain tired, which is why the Christmas Film is always a bonus.
So this got me thinking that I need to design a energy rich recipe which is easy to do, and I can do quickly.
Flapjacks it is! These are my favourite, I could eat them every day, and the best bit about flapjacks is that you can make them your own and add what you like. So I always use my base recipe and then customise it the way I fancy on the day.
This time I'm going to add some proper energy boosting ingredients.

Perfect Woman 7 Vitamin Supplements

Food supplements are all over the shelves, in the shops and pharmacies. I tend to stick with powdered forms of supplements, however sometimes its nice to have a quick and easy way to consume all the nutrients that you need. Unfortunately as we get older, we need to look after ourselves just that little bit more. So the shops recommend supplement capsules like Seven Seas.

Goodyfull Energy Superfood Balls Recipe

Raw Chocolate Chia Energy Balls

Whenever I go out to the shops or foodie festivals I see so many energy bars or balls, and I've always thought, that these must be super easy to make at home, and would probably be a lot cheaper too.
So today I made pure raw energy balls with Chia Seeds and Cacao Powder alongside Coconut all with the help of Goodyful Organic Products.

Huel - The Future of Food Review

Have you heard of Huel?
Huel is a powdered food supplement that gives you everything that your body needs. It's not your ordinary protein shake, or slimmers shake, its a shake instead of food. Is this a good thing?
The company Huel wanted to design a food supplement that can help many people around the world and in the future.
I was very dubious of it at first, because I'm a firm believer of, if you can eat food then eat it. I also worry about how our body changes if we start drinking instead of eating as surely it must effect how our body works to digest foods. However, after using it and reading more into it, I can see that Huel has a lot of potential for many countries and certainly in the future.
I have personally described it as spacefood - as its a powdered form of everything you need to survive with very little materials needed. Infact all you need is water and a shaker.

The Perfect Cars The Movie Christmas Gifts

My Son loves Cars The Movie, One and Two, and he loves playing with the toys that are associated with the films. We already have loads of the mini die cast cars. These are great value and not one of them have broken yet. These should last a lifetime. So as he loves racing these around, I knew he would love these two add ons.

Dreamtoys 2016 - My Christmas Wish List for the Kids

I've previously written about Dreamtoys Top 12 Toys so now I wanted to tell you about what I would love to buy subject to having no budget and a huge house. This is my wish list that I would buy my kids!!
Dreamtoys is an event that showcases what the toy experts think will be the best selling toys of the year to help us parents buy the right toys for our children and for other peoples children for gifts and for Christmas. I did like most of the top 12, but.....some I just didn't understand why children need them. The ones I didn't like were either, same old same old, five minutes wonders or just plain old boring. So going through Dreamtoys list of almost 70 toys and taking out the top 12, here are my favourites that I would love to get, even if I don't like them, but I know my kids would.

Dreamtoys - Top 12 Toys of 2016 - My Opinion

Toys Toys Toys !!! They are everywhere and now is the month that we all start to go crazy over what toys to buy the kiddies for Christmas. Dreamtoys is an event in London to show off the most popular toys of the year and the coming year. This is run by the Toy Retailers Association which I was very lucky to attend. So to make your life easier buying toys for Christmas, I am going to let you know what they are.

Boohoo.com have launched Kids Clothing - Finally!!

November is here and it is COLD. Frost in the mornings, ice on the cars and its just going to get colder. So, of course it's time to get new coats for the kids. I already got mine a couple of months ago, as I saw a coat I fell in love with, so I bought it early and kept it until it was needed. I then bought my son a new coat, which strangely almost matches mine......So of course my daughter was waiting for her new coat.
Boohoo.com is an online clothing catalogue and they had originally concentrated on women's wear and then mens, and now they have just introduced the kids clothing section. It only launched in October and they are adding new products on a daily basis. They are all fantastic prices and the quality is really good too.  So whilst looking through, I thought I'd check out the coats for girls. I saw a coat that I thought my daughter would like, well.....hoped she would like.
Her favourite colour or shade is black, I'm not sure why, but that's what she told me so I was looking for a black coat. Plus it goes with everything so it wouldn't clash with any of her clothing. I also wanted something that would keep her warm. She doesn't like wearing lots of layers as she feels too constricted, so I needed something that was lined or had a lining in that could be removed if she wanted to. I found quite a few that I liked, then had to go through the elimination process, otherwise the girl would have had five new coats!!! I chose this one.....what do you think?

Foodie Gift Ideas

Gifts for friends and family can be really difficult to choose, so I have started to do more Foodie Gifts, as this is always good fun, and will always be used.
I like to get a selection of different items that can be used for a cooking experience of different flavours or cultures. When people go shopping, they tend to stick with what they know or are comfortable with. So this way they can experience something new, or just try something different or even something that they really want to try, but dont think they can do it, like sushi for example. You can put everything in a hamper and it makes an amazing gift, and a thoughtful one, as you have chosen the food to be included yourself.
Here's just a few ideas for you that can all be put in the same hamper or make them into smaller hampers for different people.
Anyone that eats sushi, should try making it. Its fun, healthy, and actually isn't as hard as people may think. You can design your own and get really creative. Plus, little kiddy buddy chefs can join in too. Don't forget to add the wasabi and ginger too. Maybe you could add a tin of tuna and mayonnaise.

Taste of London Time - A Foodies Heaven !!!

Taste of London is back and I simply can not wait. It is held at Londons Tobacco Docks from the 17th November to the 20th November. It is an amazing venue with a lot of history to it. It is also perfect for a foodie event!!
Taste showcases a lot of restaurants and food companies, as well as homemade small business products. There will also be many famous chefs showing us how to cook the right way and to show off their amazing cooking skills, like Tom Kerridge, Angela Hartnett and the amazing Marcus Wareing. There are plenty of cooking demonstrations that you can actually book yourself in and try out new kitchen equipment and watch live cooking demonstrations. There is literally something for everyone.
For me, I just like walking around, trying out new food samples and buying goods that we enjoyed. I do like watching the chefs cook and gain ideas and just watch in complete awe of their effortless way of cooking. How do chefs makes everything look so easy????

Emirates Airline in London

If you are in London for the day, and fancy doing something different, yet exciting, and at a good price, you must give the Emirates Airline a ride.

If you are visiting The Excel or The O2, then this is an absolute must, plus you get discounted tickets if you attending an event.
It's a 10 minute journey across the Thames, and its very slow so you can take in all the views of London.
I've wanted to do this ages, and as we were visiting The Excel as a family, I just had to book this in as an added extra. It was less than £2.00 per person!! Bargain.
I really wanted the kids to experience this, as when we do go on a ski-ing holiday, you go on a gondola every day to get to the top of a mountain to ski on, so this was a perfect practice experience for them.
Myself and my daughter were a little nervous before we got on, as .... obviously, it is Really high and you are floating over water, however.... its super safe and we all loved it.

Have a look at their website : www.emiratesairline.co.uk and make the most of your trips in London.

I've started Ski-ing Again at Hemel Snow Center #GetMoreWinter

When I was younger, 10, I think, I started to learn how to ski. My Mum had already started to learn how to ski when we were at school as she wanted to try something new that would help with fitness, getting her out of the house, and doing something for just her. (Any stay at home mum will understand this line!!) So, then she thought myself and my brother should learn too, as she really enjoyed it.
We've always lived in Hertfordshire and the only place to learn to ski is in Hemel Hempstead. However, many years ago, it was a dry ski slope, which basically felt like ski-ing on flat broom bristles. I don't really know how it works, but it hurt when you fell, and you only wore gloves to protect your hands. The bonus of learning on a dry slope, is that it's not that cold and you don't get stuck in the snow, but the massive downside is that you're not actually learning to ski on real snow, so when you do go ski-ing for the first time on snow..... it is Very different and there is so much more to learn.
Once myself and my brother had learnt enough, my Mum booked a holiday away with other family members and friends that wanted to learn. So, we then travelled to Austria and Romania and when I was 15 I went to France with my school on a ski-ing holiday. Years later when I was 23 I went to Switzerland to try snowboarding. I'd never tried it before, and I found it very limiting. I felt a bit stuck on a board, and wasn't hugely keen. Plus I think I scared myself, as one one occasion, I stupidly took both my feet out of the holders, whilst on a mountain, and proceeded to watch my board just slide down the mountain on its own, and then fly off the cliff........ never to be seen by me again. hummm, so I think I've tarnished it, although, I would like to give it another go. Anyway, I ended up paying for that board, as I was young and stupid and didn't get insurance. You live and learn !! Apart from that, we had the best holiday, laughed A lot and Switzerland is just beautiful.
Ski-ing holidays are such fun. You wake up, have a huge breakfast, then get on all your layers of clothing and then walk to the ski hire centres to pick up your skis and boots. Most ski-centres will let you hire the boots and skis for the week, so you can store them at your chalet or hotel to make the morning rush easier.
Now I just want to point out, that if you've never put a pair of ski boots on, you must !!! It's the nearest you'll ever get to proper moon boots. (Plus its great exercise for the leg muscles). They are a mission to get on and a mission to get off, but its worth it, as they are on All day when you are on holiday.
So 23 was the last time, I remember being on snow on holiday. My parents have been ski-ing for years and years now and I think they've been every nearly year since my Dad learnt to ski. They have their own boots and ski's and all the gear and they have many friends that ski too, so they always go away in large groups.
So now my kiddies are old enough - 8 and 5, my parents suggested that they learn to ski too, and then we can all go on holiday together eventually.

Shoot Out MegaBleu Games - Ready for the Winter!!

It's getting cold out there, so I am looking into games that the kids can play inside, but, which can keep them fairly active. So I had a look at MegaBleu Website to find a couple of games that I thought the kids would like, and is also practical for the house and without small bits that get chewed by the dogs or broken really quickly. As this is what happens....a lot !! So I chose two shooting games. Now I don't condone it, however, this is all about aiming, quick reactions and being aware of your surroundings. So although, the chosen games have guns, its also about life skills. Yes, it sounds crazy doesn't it, but, this is what I look for in games. As well as obviously, enjoyment and longevity.
So here are my chosen two:
Alien Mission Evolution. This looked great fun and its what it says on the box. You've just got to shoot all the aliens!

Grace Aloe Vera Drinks

When it's been a long day, and you just need something refreshing to perk you up a bit, one of my options is Aloe Vera. I've been drinking Aloe Vera on and off for years now, and I have my favourites. Grace Aloe Refresh is one of them, however, this brand actually have bits of aloe vera in it, so you have to be prepared when you drink it. It is made from Aloe Vera Gel, so it's amazing for your digestion and general well being, as well as being incredibly refreshing. It's perfect on a hot day, or after a workout, it is so good, it's literally just down-able.

Loose Tea - JustBe and Camellia's

Loose tea can be a scary thought, especially if you're not used to it, but there are so many amazing loose tea brands, that you just have to give it a go. I think the biggest scare for me is not really knowing how much or how little you need. Here's two of my favourites at the moment.

A friend of mine gave me this tea to try. I had heard of the brand Justbe from social media and foodie sites, but had yet to try it. It's a really pretty loose tea with Hibiscus and Lemon Balm. That's it, nothing else added. I followed the instructions for the correct amount and watched it infuse. It is strangely very soothing just watching the stunning hibiscus colour flow into the lemon balm. I should have videoed it for you, but I tell you what, it is delicious !! I love it. It's really pretty, smells amazing and the colour from the hibiscus is just stunning. When I added a photo on my Instagram account, the owner, Gail Bryden said that you could also serve it as an iced tea. So I infused a pints worth of tea with added mint leaves from my garden and then put it in the fridge. Well, she was right !! It is a lovely refreshing drink that can be drunk hot or cold. This is well worth trying.

Prestige Flowers - More Beauty of Flowers

Now the summer is over, and the flowers have pretty much dissapeared in my garden, I like to have flowers in the house. I absolutely love it when my garden comes into flower. I have a mass of pinks, purples and yellows, all from various types of flowers. It brings so much happiness as the pure beauty of them is also very calming. So when they have all gone, I love flowers in the home as they can brighten up any corner, and bring the happiness inside as well. They do make lovely gifts and I do wish I received them more often.

I received this stunning bouquet from Prestige Flowers Online Delivery

We did it !!!! Rough Runner - Clapham Common 17th September 2016

A while back I saw an email about an event called Rough Runners and if we booked before a particular date we could get it at a discount. Anyways, so I sent the email to my fitness friends and said that they must definitely sign up. It looked fun, but it also looked really hard, so I didn't even think about it for me and I didn't even really look into it that much. I just saw a few photos of a couple of obstacles. My reply back from my friend was something like, that looks awesome why wouldn't you do it? So, I had one of those moments and instantly replied, well I'd do the 5km at a struggle but not the 10km. Without a real thought that I would actually ever do it.

Well that was it..... emails went around and all our little crew said YEA FUCK IT, Lets do it !!!!! OMG Whaaaaaattttt???? It seems I was doing it after all !!!

Healthy Drink Options That I've Been Loving Lately

I thought I would share with you some really healthy option drinks and combinations that I've been trying lately. If you've read my posts previously, you'll know that I like to add different drinks together, or add supplements to make me feel better and more alert. I like to include fruit or super food powders as well as a bit of matcha green tea.
Here is a frozen banana and strawberry smoothie made with Alpro Coconut Milk with added elete Electrolytes. Just simply a handful of each fruit and blitz up in my blender. Perfect for a hot day before a workout. Read about my elete Holistic Hydration Electrolytes post here.

Sweets - Going back to my childhood with Lolly's Sweets

Every now and then I really fancy something I haven't had in a while. You get a craving and you just can't please it with a substitute. So if you ever have these feelings, just go to www.lollyssweets.co.uk and order some good old fashioned sweets.
The penny sweets that I grew up with just aren't the same, especially when the price is just ridiculous. I had so many favourites, like the foamy hearts, sherbets, popping candy, refreshers, chocolate cups, rhubarb and custard, fizzy cola bottles, bonbons, aniseed balls (how many could you eat at the same time?) just loads, so many, I couldn't possibly list them all.
Here's a few that Lolly's Sweets sent me. I asked for a surprise, and this is what I got to show you.

Foods To Boost Your Workout

Oh my goodness, Rough Runners is just a few days away, and I am now quite scared but super excited at the same time. With training to do this crazy obstacle course in London and just trying in general to get fitter and healthier this year as well as trying to tone up as much as possible, I have had to change and improve my eating habits. Firstly I changed or excluded certain foods and treats to loose the weight, then I needed to change to make sure I had enough energy to do exercise with. As that's one of the dangers, if you don't eat enough but then do a massive workout, it can actually do you more damage than good.

I have been sent a really good article that I wanted to share with you, so you can learn too.

Foods to boost your workout

Our Third, Fourth & Fifth Day in Tenby - Wales

During our week in Tenby in Wales we had a few places that we really wanted to visit and Tenby has a new kiddy dinosaur park which I thought the kids would love. So after our lovely Day One and Day Two in Tenby, this was a welcomed chill out day.
Day Three:
The Dinosaur Park is literally a five minute drive away from Kiln Park. You are welcomed by a huge Mamouth and you go through into a great play park. They have motorised cars, bumper boats, bungee trampoline, safari cruises, a soft play, arcades, frizz-bee golf (which I am useless at!!) you also have golf which we enjoyed as we could all do it together.

Our Second Day in Tenby - Wales

On our second day in Tenby - Wales (see previous post for our first day HERE) we decided to do a boat trip. This is one of the reasons that I booked to visit Tenby, as I thought the kids would love a good boat trip to visit the nearby island. Its not something we do all the time, so it was a great trip.

Just a quick note - I do not put pictures of my children on my blog, so many pictures I can not include, however, it just gives you more of an excuse to go and see it for yourselves.

We booked a family ticket to take a 20 minute boat ride over to Caldey Island where the Monks still live and they have a retreat and the original town and ruins are still present on the island. They have the monastery, post office, souvenir shop, perfume shop and a chocolate shop of course as well as a very basic cafe and you can walk all over the island and explore.
In the below picture we got on the boat at the small jetty on the beach and travelled along Tenby beach (great for photographs) to Caldey Island.

Our First Day in Tenby - Wales

So, one day in the middle of August my husband phones me and asks if I was going to book a week away before the kids went back to school. I had thought about it, but, I wasn't sure in mentioning it in case he couldn't get time off work. So I said that I'd look into it and what were his preferred dates...not like he a huge choice. So I looked at the last week in August.
I looked around Devon and Cornwall first of all, then decided, actually, I wanted to go to Wales. So, the search was on and after a day online, I decided on a Haven Holiday Park - Kiln Park . As it was last minute we got it almost half price so of course we went for the upgraded Prestige Caravan 2 to give us more space and a newer model, however I wasn't going to pay an extra £100 for a balcony!!
Kiln Park is in Pembrokshire which is a walkers dream and Tenby has one of the best beaches in the UK. So, I thought this would be perfect for family time away before back to school starts.

We left home at 5am and got to Tenby (after several stops) at 9.30am. Which was way before our 2pm check in, so our first stop was to park up in town and head to the beach.

Here are just a few of my photos of our first day in Tenby.
Here is St Catherine's Island which is now sadly closed (literally two days before we arrived !!!! - gutted) it has a fort on top which the owner was trying to restore, but after years of plans, he decided to close it. Anyways it still looks amazing from up close and far away and the island is a great back drop to any photo, and it also really shows how high the tide comes in in the evening. You'll see the photos further on to compare. It truely is remarkable, and I would go to Tenby again, just to see the tide coming in. The beach is absolutely huge and the houses are just beautiful. It really is a gem of a town.

Jadu Tea - London - Luxury Tea at its Best!!

Tea !! Who doesn't like Tea ??
I've come across some wonderful tea companies and brands this year, so I'm going to share them with you. This post is all about Jadu Tea.
This is high quality luxury tea at its best. Jadu actually means Magic in ancient Sanskrit so their mission is supply you with a bit of magic every time you drink their teas. They are based in London UK, however they have travelled the world to bring us the best teas and blended teas. They have plenty to choose from and they supply loose leaf tea and bagged tea, so depending on your choice of tea, its completely up to you how you wish to serve it.
These are also beautiful gifts, as the way they are presented is almost too good to be true. They use a royal blue sueded embossed box which is just stunning and is way too pretty to store away in a cupboard. This box needs to be on your kitchen work top for all to see it. Or of course on your tea shop shelves. They are sold in different boxes, so you can get the plain boxes or luxury boxes, or even bags, its nice to have a choice. This is also a great way of trying different teas. So when you've decided on your favourites, you can buy them all in the blue presentation boxes and then just keep buying the refills if you wish.
Just look at this !!! Wow !! You would never think it was tea !

Gravity Force Trampoline Park in St Albans Review

Last Tuesday myself and the kiddies went to the bloggers launch of the new Gravity Force in St Albans. It is a trampoline park of pure awesomeness. It has loads of trampolines that all join together so you can literally bounce from one end of the hall to another. they have different size trampolines and different lengths and they also have them at an angel so you can bounce from the walls. It is truely amazing and I really can not wait to go again. I've always loved trampolining, and it's great exercise too.
They have trampolines for all stages so if you are a complete beginner this is fine and you can go and just bounce, or they have the longer trampolines for stunts and dodgeball games.

Why are Electrolytes so good for you ?

Most people will probably say - What are Electrolytes ?? I certainly did.
I wasn't even sure how to explain it in a simple way, however, its a way to stay hydrated throughout your workouts and just in your general lifestyle too. So it really is something everyone can use and it will benefit everyone too. Water is obviously the best way to stay hydrated, but, a little bit of extra help is always a huge bonus. Now you can buy electrolytes in concentrate form so you can add it to water and plenty of other drinks that you love. I can also bet that most of our Olympians that are currently working really hard and have been all year with their training have been using Electrolytes to keep them healthy and help push them further.
elete Electrolyte contains all four of the key electrolytes : Magnesium, Potassium, Chloride and Sodium, all in an ionically charged form. If this is used daily, it can increase your stamina, less cramping, better concentration, reduced anxiety, and quicker muscle recovery after a workout or injury.

Foods that can help with a sports or fitness injury

In September myself and five other lovely ladies are going to compete in Rough Runner, which is an intense obstacle course inspired by all the great game shows, like Ninja Warrior, Total Wipeout and Takeshi’s Castle. I’ve been training as much as I possibly can but as it’s the summer holidays, it’s been very difficult, but as I say: something is better than nothing !!! My other issue is that if I work myself too much, I really don’t want to injury myself or hurt my body before September. I’m very conscience of my knees and wrists as these are on the go all the time and with a workout, you use these A lot !! I’ve already injured my wrist from doing too many press-ups, and being in the wrong position. So I needed to look into what can help me and what I need to do in circumstances if it gets too bad. I have some amazing information to share with you and surprisingly we start with food!

Rejuvenation Water

My goodness its been hot, and when its hot we all need really refreshing drinks. Obviously the best refreshing drink to have is Water, but not everyone likes to drink water so we have alternatives.
I asked to taste some drinks that I had seen on social media as they seemed like a super healthy alternative. Plus, I have to say that I really like the logo and the design of the label.

Rejuvenation Water - It is 100% natural, low in natural sugar, vegan friendly and its enriched with amino acids Glutamine.

My July Foodies100 Ranking

I am a very happy lady today, as I just realised that my Foodies100 UK Food Blogs had changed and had included the words - TOP 500 !! Woohoo !!!

So I thought I would log in and have just seen my actual ranking is at 354. This is huge for me, as I have really tried to get to top 500 again since last year.  It is very difficult staying within the 500 as the competition is fierce out there. So to be less than 400 is a big step for me and I wanted to share it before it falls again next month.

If you are a Food Blogger, do make sure you sign up as it is a very informative site and can come in very useful.

It is also a good place to get blogging opportunities and to get blogging tips.

Yutaka Sushi Kit for 2 - Lets cook healthy food together !!

I love Sushi, always have. It is incredibly healthy and is also quite filling. It is also a fun to make your own.
Now just to get one thing straight, although people say sushi is raw fish - it is actually smoked fish most of the time, so its perfectly fine to eat. A lot of English sushi uses smoked salmon, smoked trout, tuna or prawns, and you can also have vegetarian options using eggs, and vegetables.
Sushi is the vinegard rice that the fish or vegetables are wrapped in with a Nori Sheet or used to make Nigiri whereas sushimi is just the fish.
Now in Japan, they do actually use raw fish in some of their restaurants, so it is true, but in England, it is made to suit our palates.
Sushi is such a delight to look at. It has to be one of the most prettiest dishes to look at. With all the colours and swirls of different ingredients. The fish is sliced in a special way which is why it is also very expensive, this is due to the labour that goes into the dishes and the skills of the knife.
Now, as I said, it is also fun to do at home if you fancy a challenge. Its great to do in a group, with the kids, or just as a cooking night with the other half.
I was sent Yutakas Sushi Kit for 2 to try. Now, we have actually made sushi in the past (ok years ago, so we are out of practice - so bear with us) and I have quite a few ingredients in my cupboards, but this kit has everything you need, apart from the fish and vegetables.

Gravity Force in St Albans - Trampoline Park - Competition

I am so excited, we now have a Gravity Force opening near me in St Albans, Hertfordshire. I have been dreaming of going to a trampoline park for months with the kids - or with my friends. They look absolutely awesome.
Trampolining is something that I have always loved doing. It is great exercise and its also great fun. I'll always remember being part of a 24 hour trampoline marathon at school where we had to stay over at school and trampoline all night. It was all for charity and it was brilliant.
My children have a trampoline in the garden, as I feel it is a great way to keep them fit and healthy as well as being outside and keeping the house tidy!!

Gravity Force contacted me to invite us to go to their launch day on the 16th August and of course, I just had to say Yes! So in return I have the pleasure in saying that they have offered me Four Jump Sessions for you too!! Brilliant hey, so make sure you enter. All details are below.
The official launch day for St Albans is the 17th August 2016
Location: 1 Alban park, Hatfield Road, St Albans, Hertfordshire AL4 0JJ.

Tails.Com Dog Food Delivered Straight To Your Door !!

I have two amazing little rescue dogs who have been a part of our lives for just over a year now. They have changed our lives so much, more than I ever thought. They have brought joy, love and plenty of energy with them. We all adore them, and because they are so special, I feel the need to make sure they eat the best.
My dogs have tried many brands and different types of canned food, as well as fresh meat and offal (hearts, livers and kidneys). I will basically make my own up if I have plenty of offal, as I'll boil it up with rice and chopped vegetables, which they absolutely love. However, this is a treat for them.
If I have canned food, they are not always very keen, which is why I have tried different brands.
So after a year, I pretty much have it sorted. They don't like the canned foods with loads of gravy, they prefer the chunks. They do like pate, but, I don't think it agrees with their bellies very well. Of course, they love anything fresh, but what dog wouldn't.
One struggle I've really had is with dry food. Some brands they'll eat with ease but....oh my goodness, the farts can literally blow you out of the room. They stink !! and other brands, they just wont touch. So with this in mind, I agreed to try out Tails.Com which is a tailor made delivery service just for dogs.

The BFG - Roald Dahl

Woohoo, we are seriously excited for the new BFG Movie, adapted from Roald Dahls Book The BFG. This is an absolute classic and if you haven't read it... now is the chance!!
There are Giants in this world, but they are all different sizes. The ones that you think are big are actually very small giants. There are really big Giants who like to eat children and they are the scary ones.

The BGF is a friendly Giant who likes to catch dreams, spread joy and safety, however, he was seen doing this by a little girl called Sophie who then has to take her. They become firm friends and together they plan to stop the Big Giants from eating other children.

Protein Drinks Options

Whenever I see someone I haven't seen in a while, they always mention how much weight I've lost and how have I done it..... Now I haven't actually lost that much weight, not even a stone !!! But on my little frame its made a huge difference. I am toning up and am toner than I have been in years. The abs (under the mummy belly) are returning !! (you just cant see them, but you can feel them) and my bum is a lot smaller. So when I say that actually, all it is is exercise, protein shakes, eating healthily and drinking matcha green tea every day they looked shocked. No people, you don't need to starve yourself or drink just vitamin based shakes all day, you need to work at it, and the results are always better and they are for long term instead of short term. You can read any of my previous posts this year if you need some guidance on how a non-professional has done it.

Now there are LOADS of protein shakes, but when you're not an expert, it can be quite daunting. Which one, what do they all do, why are they called weird names, why are some just letters ?????? So I've asked around and I have a couple to recommend, other than my daily Nutribuddy Protein Shake.

Healthy Drink Options

I have been cutting down on sugar this year - not completely though, just cutting down. So I thought I would share some great drinks that I have at home at present. Some of these I have all the time and some are a special treat.

With my Nutribuddy Protein Shake I like to mix it up a bit and try different milks. I generally have Alpro Almond Milk, but my other options include Coconut Milk, Oat Milk and Hemp Milk. I do still have Cows milk, but these are just dairy free alternatives to consider.

Because I love flowers so much Prestige Flowers sent me a Lomond Bouquet to get my opinion on it....and quite frankly, I thought it was Amazing !!

Essential Cuisine Stocks - Lets Get Cooking !!

I love cooking, always have. I'm not an amazing cook, but I do understand flavours. I used to use stock all the time in my cooking as it adds lovely natural flavours.
I was sent a selection of Essential Cuisine stock to try out at home. I asked for stock that could be used in risottos, as that is a recipe that always need stock and with risotto you can get very creative with your flavours.

BoyzToys Fitness Products

I've come across a really good website that sells all sorts of wonderful fitness and travel items, as well as home and kids stuff. Its a website full of wonderful goodies and something for everyone.
However, for now, I'm going to tell you about a few fitness items I have at home that are from the website.
I've been trying my hardest to get fit and healthy this year. I've lost the weight I wanted, and now I'm trying to tone up when I have the time. However, I'm not a gym person, so I prefer to exercise at home. I do wish I had a gym partner sometimes, but with having kids my times clash with others. So being at home, is better than nothing !!
The items I have are the Ab Roller, the Light Resistance Tube and a Pedometer so I know how many steps I've done a day, or a walk.
