Cream's - Watford

For out last treat of the year 2015, I took a friend to Creams in Watford High Street with our kids. It only opened late in the year, so its still a new establishment within Watford Town. Ice Cream parlours are not somewhere I go regularly at all, so to be fair, I can't really compare it to anywhere. However, we got there just after midday and it was pretty much empty. Which for us is perfect as then the kids can do as they please and I wasn't pressured to keep them sitting down. On a Friday night, this place is absolutely packed with teens so we hear, and I can see why!!

At the front of the shop there is a gorgeous display of all things naughty - Ice Cream !! They sell Ice-Creams, Cakes, Sundaes, Crepes, Waffles, Milkshakes, Smoothies and Tea and Coffee. So there is something for everyone. One thing that caught my eye on the menu is they even do Protein Shakes for the more healthy guests.
We all loved how it was set out. Gorgeous American style booths and black and purple d├ęcor.

As you can see.....empty !!! So if you want to go, make sure you go at very off peak times. They have a play area for the kids , which is actually infact an interactive computer projector. It was brilliant. They had to use their feet to control the games and chase things around. Very clever.
There were also numerous large screen TVs on the wall showing the film Shrek.
Great!! I hadn't seen my friend in a while so it was catch up time.
After we entered Creams, we were greeted by a waiter, who gave us some menus and left us to it. It wasn't until about 15 minutes later that we got the hint that we had to go to counter to order and pay up front for what we wanted. No table service here !! I wondered why, as it was so quiet. But, hey ho, that's there policy.
So whilst the kids were entertaining themselves, myself and my friend went up and ordered crepes and waffles, milkshakes and tea. Here's my warning....there is NO KIDS MENU AND NO KIDS PORTIONS !!!! Why, I don't know, but if you go to Creams with young kids - Let them Share !!! These are way to big for kids. The milkshakes were way to large for the kids too. So maybe for under tens they should do half portions. Be a lot cheaper and less wastage too. However, the food was really good, I couldn't complain. It was delicious.

This was the Melted Belgium White Chocolate Indulgence with banana and strawberries with white chocolate sauce and white chocolate flakes at £5.75

This was the Raspberry & White Chocolate Crepe at £5.50.

This is the Banoffee with Nutella Waffle without the toffee sauce for my kids - normal price of £5.50, it was cheaper as I had no sauce. To be honest, this was way too much Nutella, the kids couldn't eat it. My kids could have shared this easily. For an adult....No problems !!

This was mine !! Sea Salted Caramel Crepe with sliced bananas, cinnamon and caramel sauce with ice-cream at £4.95

None of these dishes actually needed the extra ice-cream, this got wasted by most of us. The sugar hit of the crepes and waffles and sauces was plenty....
I would go again, and I would recommend this, but go at quiet times !!
Check out Creams website HERE and look through the menu !! Don't drool though !!!
Creams in Watford is a franchise so there are many others in the UK.
