Simple Biscuits with BuyWholeFoodsOnline

We seem to always be running out of biscuits in my house. I'll open a pack and put it in the biscuit tin, and then next time I look, it's empty. I have no idea where they go or when they go....does anyone else have the invisible biscuit eater in their house. When I ask everyone "Where have all the biscuits gone???" Everyone has the same response ....."I don't know".
Biscuits are a great little snack and a treat to make too. So as we had none in the house, and I fancied some biscuits, I thought I'll have to just make some. Thankfully, there are some really quick and easy simple recipes out there.
My recipe, which I've been using for years is really simple and, of course can be tweaked to suit you. I decided to make Cinnamon biscuits and Chocolate biscuits.

So, here are my recipes from today:

Carob Biscuits
100g Butter
50g Sugar
130g Self Raising Flour

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
Melt the butter
Add the sugar
Mix Well
Add the Flour & Carob Powder
Mix really well, it will turn thick and doughy.
Then divide the mixture into 10 to 12 balls
Put the balls on a greased baking tray and flatten.

You can use a fork to add lines to make them look pretty, or any kind of kitchen utensil.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

They will be soft when you take them out of the oven, so just be patient and leave them to harden before you remove them from the baking tray.

How Easy Hey ????!!!!

Cinnamon Biscuits
100g Butter
60g Sugar
140g Self Raising Flour

Pre-heat the oven to 180 degrees
Melt the butter
Add the sugar
Mix Well
Add the Flour & Cinnamon Powder
Mix really well, it will turn thick and doughy.
Then divide the mixture into 10 to 12 balls
Put the balls on a greased baking tray and flatten.

For these I used the end of a whisk to make the star shape.

Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.

Again, they will be soft when you take them out of the oven, so just be patient and leave them to harden before you remove them from the baking tray.

So there we go, super easy and super quick. I'm going to make some more for Fathers Day, but I'm not sure what flavour to do next ....

If you prefer plain biscuits, then the simple recipe is :

Butter Biscuits
100g Butter
50g Sugar
150g Self Raising Flour

Then you can add chocolate chips, raisins, cranberries, spices, it's completely up to you.

Happy Baking !!
