Nutribuddy Breakfast Shake Ideas

A friend asked myself what I add to my morning smoothies and she didn't like the answer of "whatever I have in my fridge or freezer" she asked for examples, so I thought I'd write down what I did have and share it with you as well. I have a smoothie or breakfast shake of some sort every day, as it helps with my fruit intake and keeps my breakfast fairly clean and healthy. At the moment, I'm drinking Nutribuddy Breakfast Shakes, which is perfectly fine on it's own as it has very healthy and amazing ingredients, like oats, seeds and coconut, so if I add fruit to it, it's even healthier and keeps me full until lunch time.
Nutribuddy Breakfast is a powder form that you add to milk or a milk substitute that you mix together to make an easy on the go breakfast shake. It is gluten-free, vegan friendly, low in calories and of course sugar free. Nutribuddy sell their own shakers which work perfectly with the Breakfast Shake, as it makes the instructions even more simpler. You pour milk up to the letter T in the shaker and add 3 scoops of Breakfast Shake, and ..... shake. That's it. Breakfast is now served. So, you can literally make this whilst running out the door or whilst running around the house trying to get ready. For me, mornings can be hectic, so a shake whilst trying to make sure I get the kids to school on time is perfect. However, for when I do have a bit of extra time, I like to add fruit to my breakfast so I need the blender for that.

I reviewed it a couple of years ago when it first came out and Nutribuddy have been tweaking the recipe slightly and have a few more flavours to add to the list now, so there is literally something for everyone. They used to only have one mix but with three flavours of Vanilla, Chocolate Brownie and Naked (unflavoured and unsweetened). I used to have vanilla or naked with fruit if I had the time and the chocolate was just divine on its own. So now they have a Smooth mix or the Crunchy mix. The crunchy mix is a bit like a really "watered" down porridge, so it is bitty as so to speak, as you feel the oats and the coconut within the mix, so if you prefer no bits in your drink, then you can have the Smooth mix. However, if you like a bit of variety, you can get both, but if you blend up the Crunchy mix, it turns into the smooth mix.

Nutribuddy's new flavours are :
Naked Unsweetened - Crunchy Flaxseeds & Coconut flakes
Chocolate - Crunchy Flaxseeds & Coconut flakes
Vanilla - Super Smooth with Matcha Green Tea
Vanilla - Crunchy Flaxseeds & Coconut flakes
Strawberry - Crunchy Flaxseeds & Coconut flakes
Strawberry -  Super Smooth with Matcha Tea
Banana - Crunchy Flaxseeds & Coconut flakes
Banana - Super Smooth with Matcha Tea

You can also buy a glass jar to store your Nutribuddy Shake in which I absolutely love, and it is a really good price of £2.99 when you buy the Shake mix. I still have the original design from two years ago which was a square design, but now they have a cute rounded design that looks so pretty on your kitchen worktop, you won't want to put it away.

I would quickly like to say that this is not a protein shake, this is a breakfast shake. It's not for weight loss or helping your gym performance, it's just a delicious shake that you have when you haven't the time to sit down and eat breakfast, but yes, it's also a great way to keep your calories at the correct amount or if you are on a strict calorie counting diet.
I have many Nutribuddy Blog Posts, so I will list the most recent at the bottom of this post, so you can have a read about all of their other products and my other shake ideas.

Here are a few examples of what I have been including in my smoothies. I generally have a lot of fruit in my house, whether it be fresh or frozen, so I have plenty of different options for my smoothies. Frozen fruit is brilliant when it's a hot day, as you can make it as thin or as thick as you like by adding more fruit, but when it's frozen, it tends stay thicker and obviously cooler for if you are taking it with you. Half a frozen banana is always a favourite of mine.
OK, so in my freezer, I have a variety of frozen fruits whether they be in a pack already done for me, or I mostly have fruit that I have frozen myself as they are leftovers from fresh fruit or they were reduced in the shops because of the date so I just freeze them all. I currently have 5 tupperware boxes of different fruits in the freezer as there is never a need to waste fruit.
I also like to have a variety of milks so it's always different. I like to have normal milk, almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk and oat milk. So once you have your variety in your fridge, every day is different.
